I think that this song really is fantastic. Just my opinion of course and we all have different opinions....but come on. Compared to Ashlee Simpson, it's great!!!!! So glad to see she's finally pulling together. I'm also loving Miley's sexier look. Her music has improved big time. I was never a fan of her teeny-bop music but I love her newer stuff.
I ordered this for my wife, for Valentines Day, thinking it was the whole CD. Not exactly, only one song w/a remix too. Only one song, when you can pay the same for 3 more song, or get whole CD/songs for a better price at the local Walmart! (due to the cost of S/H)
I waited and waited to get this for my daughter for a xmas present and it came late. And then it was only one song/two different versions! I thought it was an album!
Miley is steadfast at holding her young fans (ages 9 to probably about 14 or so) and she is good at what she does. She is trying to grow up a bit with this album but I don't believe it is in a trashy way (see Brittany Spears - Miley is taking a graceful route instead). While I have heard some complaints from parents about her somewhat updated image, it should be remembered that she has every right to grow up and mature. And that her fans are growing up as well. She has done nothing "trashy", she didn't talk about thrusting or anything of that nature. Even my four year old loves "Party in the USA" because it talks about dancing. Everyone likes to judge things and usually takes them out of context - it's kind of getting ridiculous.
The only thing you need to know about the album is - it's pop, it's cutesy, I haven't met any kid who didn't love it yet. And if you're seriously worried about it (which I totally understand), then listen to one or two of her songs on the radio first... as a parent, you should probably do that anyway.
